Some of the Single Online Dating Sites

Online dating is a system where people are able to meet and communicate over the internet. The main aim is to help people develop a personal, romantic, and in the end a long-term relationship. The two people involved do not have to meet because their main point of contact is through their personal computers or mobile phones.

Many singles are able to match up with their partners by looking up their profiles and choosing the person you want to date. This can be enhanced by uploading one’s photos and videos. Different sites give various services including chatting online, chatting through VOIP, among others. Some dating sites also allow free access by users while others require one to subscribe to their database by joining the site. Take for example two Single Online Dating sites; Smooch.com and Spark.com:

1. Smooch.com

This is a site that offers free online dating services which guarantees you a high standard dating anywhere in the USA by finding single men and single women who fit each other. The aim of this site is to provide assistance to single men and women who are looking for true love, partners for marriage, open relationships or just friendships, all at no cost.

The site also offers a number of services through which people can chat including instant messages, use of message boards, chat rooms, photo gallery, members’ gallery, and social networks among others. Such a site is able to attract a huge number of clients or users given that one does not have to have money for him or her to get an online date. Free things are known to attract many people, so this site’s only limitation may be age. Without setting any restrictions then anyone who has access to internet can use such a site for online dating.

2. Spark.com

This is another Single Online Dating sites in the US that provide services albeit have fulfilled a few requirements. According to this site, members who join are required to take a personality test known as Color Code. Members are also asked to provide their photo and allow responses to emails. This means that not only members can send you emails, but also any single person who visits the site is able to contact you.

According to this site, uploading your photo gives you ten times profile views more that members who do not have their photos uploaded. This makes one’s search easy because you are able to meet your date “face to face” over the internet. Unlike many other dating sites, this one helps its members in building strong relationships with the people they choose to meet.

3. Match.com

Another dating website in the US is Match.com which has slight differences from the two mentioned above. On this site, members are required to pay a fee of $40 unlike the other sites. This site also allows subscribers to communicate with those who have paid only. This decreases the chances of getting a response from someone you develop an interest in. Match.com does not insist on subscribers uploading their photos. Making this optional may not help subscribers attract more responses from their looks like the previously mentioned sites.

Apart from the above discussed single online dating sites, there are so many others around the internet. Some of them are only used with certain fees and others are for free membership.

Surviving a Long Distance Relationship with Communication and Understanding

Perhaps you have found yourself stuck in a long distance relationship due to your significant other working in a different state, having to go away on a temporary working assignment, leaving temporarily for school, or for other reasons. The fact of the matter is that long distance relationships can be difficult. Relationships are built on communication and understanding, but what happens when you can only communicate via the phone? Skype may be an option but the reality is that nothing compares to spending quality time with one another in the flesh.

Unfortunately if you are not a phone or Skype person you have to work extra hard to keep the love alive. You have to learn how to not take comments personally and instead letting things roll off your back. Having the option of kissing and making up is not an option in a long distance relationship. If you argue you have to work it out by talking verses taking a drive and holding one another’s hand, assuring one another everything is alright. Long distance relationships can be challenging, but here is a list of ideas that will hopefully make your relationship go smoother and long lasting.

  1. When a misunderstanding arises, ask for clarification. Instead of assuming that your love is meaning one thing, ask them what you thought they were implying instead of starting an argument. You may be pleasantly surprised that they didn’t mean it the way it came out. Being patient and understanding will make the world of a difference when you are unable to bridge the gap with physical touch or spending time with one another.
  2. Make plans to see one another as often as your schedules allow. Having plans to look forward to make the time go a lot quicker when you are missing your significant other. If you can squeeze in a concert, a restaurant you’ve been dying to try, or a movie you’ve really wanted to see, creating a memory is a great way to make the precious moments last when you do get to spend some time with your significant other.
  3. If you are bad at picking up the phone, schedule a phone date with your boyfriend or girlfriend every night so you can be sure that you are staying up to date with one another. Letting one another know how your day went, what is coming up in the coming days, and what you are excited or frustrated about in the present moment will create a tighter bond and help you grow closer together. Plus your relationship will be stronger than ever because it will be built on communication and not just physical intimacy.
  4. Keep the love and trust alive by staying honest. If you keep things from the person you love, how is the trust and love supposed to stay alive? Being open, honest, and communicating your thoughts is the best way to help a relationship succeed.

These tips should hopefully make the time go by quickly and help you look forward to a wonderful time that you will be hopefully spending with your loved one soon. Being away is no fun, but can you imagine the memories you will create when you are together again? If you have the option to bridge the distance by moving or taking another job, that is the best option, but sometimes a long distance relationship cannot be helped. So take a deep breath, put both feet in, and do your best to communicate and create a long distance relationship worth keeping.

The Best Places to Flirt at Work

Christian Singles

A decade ago you weren’t supposed to have an office romance but today, some companies encourage them, saying that office relationships increase company loyalty and business productivity. As a result, you might see more than just the birds and bees coupling this spring. Instead, you’ll start to notice a few office romances starting to bloom.

However, even though office romances are gaining more acceptance, you still need to act professional. That doesn’t mean that you need to hide your relationship but rather there is a time and place to sneak a minute or two of flirtation.

Here are five great places to flirt with your “colleague” that won’t get you into trouble:

The Kitchen

Food is the way to anyone’s heart – especially your coworkers in the middle of a long day. Consider bringing in a healthy sweet treat on a random day, and then send an email to let your coworkers know there are delicacies in the kitchen. Before you know it, everyone will jump up and gather in the kitchen, giving you an opportune time to chat with your crush.

Remember when you were in high school and a simple “hello” from the captain of the swim team made your day? Same rule still applies; a quick chat could be the pick-me-up you needed to finish up the report you’ve been working on all week.

The Office Copiers

You probably didn’t even realize it but you make your way to the office copiers 10 times a day. Whether you are sending a fax, scanning a document or printing out a report, your business’ copier is a well-visited machine.

As a result, use this machine to your advantage; next time you know you need to print something out, send a quick email to your office crush and tell him or her to print something out too. That way, you have some company as you wait for your documents to print.

Tip: color documents tend to print slower.

The Water Cooler or Coffee Machine

The water cooler and coffee machine save professionals daily. It’s crucial that workers stay hydrated and it’s important that professionals stay awake. So the next time you need a cup of either, wink at your office interest to follow you over to the coffee machine. This will give you an opportunity to catch up on how their day is going.

Likewise, take a break by the water cooler. The most important thing to remember, however, is don’t take too long of a break and don’t put your other responsibilities on the back burner.

Outside the Bathroom

Depending on where your bathroom is located, your walk to the bathroom is a chance to meet up with your office fling. Although not the most romantic idea, it is subtle – the key trait to have in an office romance.

Places NOT to flirt at work

It’s neither professional nor wise to parade your relationship around the office. Yes, everyone might already know about it but that doesn’t mean you should steal kisses in the middle of the lunchroom. In addition, sneaking in a few minutes of flirtation here and there is what makes the relationship exciting.

The two places you should not flirt at work include:

Your Cubicle: You know how distracting it can be to have your coworker on the phone with someone for long periods of time. In the same respect, it’s not the best idea to flirt with someone in front of your neighboring cubicles. It’s distracting as well as unprofessional.

The Lunchroom: You might think that lunchtime is the perfect time to sit down and have a break with your office romance, but in reality, it isn’t. Lunch is the time when you should be socializing with many of your coworkers, not just one. The one thing you don’t want to do at work is seclude yourself from the overall work environment.

You shouldn’t feel guilty about having an office romance but always keep it professional. These five places are good to have a quick chat and won’t take too much time away from your work responsibilities.

7 Tips For Putting Together A Winning Valentine’s Day Card

Christian Singles

Have you visited the greeting card section in your local Walmart or food store lately? Chances are if you have, you may have noticed how over whelming it can be to pick out a greeting card. There are so many different genres of cards now ranging from the most outrageous or obscene to the romantic and emotional cards, there’s even cards that sing and record voices!

Well its that time of the year again where roses are red and violets are blue, some poems rhyme others don’t. Don’t be one of those people that says, “I hate this holiday, it just makes me feel that much more single”. This is the holiday where life gives you lemons…an excuse to find that special someone or a reason to ask the girl of your dreams out on a date.

During this time of year, a way to a woman’s heart is romance. I know guys, this can be a word with many meanings but for the next few weeks, its all about flowers and romantic words, oh and chocolate, lots of it! The easy part is the chocolate and flowers, most of us can get away with just those two things however if your looking to go above and beyond this year, tell her how you really feel and make sure to get those reservations to her favorite restaurant.

Romantic cards can be quite a challenge for some people, but the beauty of this holiday is, many of those cards on the shelves know just how you feel! If your significant other means that much to you, try writing your own card full of love. The internet provides you with a large selection of DIY valentines day card templates. If you need a push in the right direction here are some tips to get you started.

  • Use sentimental rubber stamps such as “I Love You” or “Be Mine”. You can find them in any craft store.
  • Write or print a few suitable words on your valentine’s card. These are a great alternative to rubber stamps. (Men leave the hand writing to the women, find a suitable font in Word and go from there, its for the best!)
  • If you going to hand write, use a quality pen.
  • Write slowly and evenly.
  • Write naturally.
  • If your a poet at heart, then you should definitely include some romantic words that rhyme. (women eat that stuff up!)
  • As cheesy as this may sound, use lyrics from a song. Preferably a song your significant other doesn’t know, but if you must, say something like, Michael Buble says it best, “You know your some kind of wonderful…”.

There you have it, a bunch of ways to have a successful and romantic Valentines Day. Indulge yourself in that ridiculously large heart filled with your favorite chocolates. Go make lemonade!
